Bristol born and bred Samuel was raised on a diet of 1980's blockbusters thanks to the films of Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and a love for 1950's Sci-Fi movies shown on TV which soon developed into a full-blown obsession of all things cinema.
Along with his wife Mary, Samuel owns a very respectable DVD and Blu-Ray collection at home featuring films by directors he admires such as Steven Soderbergh, David Fincher, Paul Thomas Anderson, Lars Von Trier, Brian DePalma, Spike Jonze and Gaspar Noe as well as screen writers like Aaron Sorkin.
He developed his art skills copying Garfield, Marvel, 2000AD and DC characters from his childhood which then lead to his graphic design degree at UWE Bristol. Like his DVD and Blu-Ray collection he now boasts a solid comic collection including Tank Girl, DMZ, Preacher, Demo, Martha Washington, Marshall Law, The Walking Dead and Hellboy.
Having a life-long love for visual arts he took on photography after being inspired by the work of Terry Richardson, Richard Kern, David Hockney & Anton Corbijn. It was only a few years ago he picked up his first ever DSLR, a Sony A200 and soon went up to a Canon 7D and now a Canon 5D MKIII which has become an important part of his film and photography work.
Samuel is married to his wife Mary and has a daughter, Sienna and their beloved cat, a polydactyl (extra digits) Farah where they spend time together watching films, reading comics and sampling her excellent cooking whilst he searches high and low for the perfect trainers and action figures to add to his pointless collections.
